Jill E. Kelly is Associate Professor of History at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, USA and Honorary Research Associate at the University of Cape Town. She is the author of To Swim with Crocodiles: Land, Authority, and Belonging in South Africa, 1800-1996 (Michigan State University Press, 2018 and University of KwaZulu-Natal Press, 2019) and numerous articles. Her research has been supported by the American Council of Learned Societies and Fulbright.
